Roof Roller Blinds - Shrewsbury
You can see in this picture shows the beautiful view through the roof, which our customer did NOT want to lose or obstruct. However the intensity of the light and heat in summer, along with the coldness of the conservatory and adjoining kitchen in winter motivated them to look for a solution.
- Solid roof conversion ruled out due to massive and permanent loss of light in both rooms.
- Pleated roof blinds ruled out due to support wires (6 per window!) spoiling the look of the roof, and the prospect of continuous cleaning away of flies and dust.
- Roof rollers chosen for clean, flat look with zero support wires and ability to have total control of the light at all times of year. Pic 5 shows how any single blind can be rolled back & pic 6 shows the mitred cassettes.
Many customers ask how we do the vent area, and if it needs to be done?
Every case is different and depends on multiple factors like number of opening vents, their position in relation to the sun’s movement, size & aesthetics, and when you use the room eg morning or early evening.
- For example a singular vent positioned on the north side may not necessarily be needed whereas a large vent opener facing south probably will.
We will advise you of course, but you can always add extra blinds at a later date if it transpires you need additional areas of glazing covered.
