Pleated Roof Blinds, Banbury
Conservatory Type: Timber, Portland Victorian conservatory, 4.2m x 6.5m, Pilkington glass roof
The Problem
Pleated roof blinds were the preferred option as a tight to roof, rebated installation was required between short depth roof rafters, with doubled up side micro pleated blinds. Too much sunlight from the large expanse of glass made the room uncomfortable for most of the year, despite having good quality self cleaning glass installed. Due to the number of roof windows, electric roof blinds would be required, resulting in motorised roof blinds & manual (tensioned) side pleated blinds.
The Solution
Slim-line “Somfy” manufactured, electric motors are contained within the base rails of the roof pleated blinds, resulting in a neat & tidy look when retracted, as the rails are only 30mm x 40mm & colour matched to the brown conservatory. Simply with the press of a button, the remote control blinds or zones of blinds can be operated.
“Very neat & pretty, the blinds all sit nicely into the wooden beams of the conservatory.”
