Roller Roof Blinds, Nottingham
Conservatory Type: UPVC conservatory, 4.5m x 4.2m, glass roof
The Problem
Mrs R has a lovely, light conservatory but it was too hot & bright in there. She loved looking through the glass roof & did not really want roof blinds at all: they were a “necessary evil”. Her opinion of roof blinds was based mainly on pleated roof blinds, which she really did not like: the fussy style, the dust & fly problem, but most of all the necessity for lots of support wires drilled into the beams.
The Solution
Roof rollers were chosen to address these issues, & provide an unobtrusive solution. Roof roller blinds only require 1 pull cord per blind & minimal hardware, & stay clean for the life of the blinds, only requiring an occasional spot clean of perhaps once per year or every 2 years, which takes minutes. Most customers never need to clean the blinds at all: so different to pleated blinds.
“With roller roof blinds you hardly notice them when retracted: there is only 1 cord per blind, whereas pleated have about 6/8 wires running through hundreds of little holes. We did not want to spoil our roof or view through it.”
